Hi! I'm Nichole.

I’m passionate about the Lord. I love the color green in almost every shade, I’ve loved a T-Rex since I first saw Jurassic Park as a young kid, and while In n Out Burger makes the best cheeseburger on our planet, I don’t like cheese. I grew up in the foothills of San Diego County, California. I took sailing lessons in San Diego Bay for two summers as a teenager and every time the military helicopters flew over us, I’d say out loud, “I’m going to fly on those someday.” I joined the US Navy as a Corpsman (medic) and when I deployed to Afghanistan with the Marines I flew on those helicopters – a lot. I enjoyed my time with the Marine Corps so much that I married a Marine, and we have a son and daughter. We’ve moved a lot since - and following - our military days: from Okinawa, Japan, to North Carolina, all over Florida, and have finally settled in Oklahoma.

I accepted Jesus when I was six years old. I don’t know why I was sitting in the spot I was, but I was perched on the steps of our church’s stage, listening as one of the elders of the church talked about Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf. Mr. Tony always gave me a piece of gum if he had extra. Mr. Tony was the GOAT. As Mr. Tony spoke, I remember thinking that while I felt I’d always believed, I wanted to take a moment and “seriously” tell Jesus that I believed in what He had done for me - that I recognized that I needed to admit that I needed Him, and tell Him, official-like.

And then as I grew up, I chose rebellion. I believed some dumb lies and lived life my own way, until, in my early twenties, I finally stopped running and responded to the Lord’s pursuit. I rededicated my life to God in Okinawa, Japan. I encountered the Holy Spirit in a way I never had before and will forever honor Him. I attended a church there in Oki where the Believers nurtured me in truth and love. God knew and drew me before I sat on those stage steps and “officially” gave Him my heart when I was six. He pursued me while I ran from Him, and when I turned to Him, He met me with love, acceptance, and help. He is everything to me.

Now I’m almost 40. I have more stories. I have more testimonies – a progressively beautiful history with the Lord.

I’m a member of a church here in Oklahoma. I serve on our Prayer Team and it’s my favorite. I lead a discipleship class and watching the women grow in their own relationships with the Lord is my favorite. Having a front-row seat to their testimonies is my favorite. I lead prayer for Revival at our church and it's my favorite. Enjoying the movement of the Holy Spirit with the congregation is my favorite. It’s all my favorite, because: Jesus. Period.

I also serve with our youth. And, while everything-Jesus is my absolute-best-favorite-ever, here is where my heart thumps out of my chest:

I am passionate that teenagers encounter the God who created them.

I am fervent for the next generation to know the God who loves them.

I am zealous to see teenagers know who they are in Christ Jesus.

And I am impassioned to see the next generation continue the ministry of Jesus in the Earth.

God is not surprised. He is not baffled, overwhelmed, or worried – He is not even concerned. He is good, pursing, drawing, present, and intentional. And the blood of Jesus speaks a better word – always, and every time.

Thank you for being here. I am excited for our youth.

With Big Faith because Jesus is ALIVE,

Nichole Mieir
